First off, this DIY is a little time consuming... It took me the whole She & Him Christmas album to make two stars. Second, please don't cut down a living tree.
You will need : 5 twigs (per star) | Yarn | Hot glue | Scissors/knife | Fabric
Take five twigs and place them in a star shape (the same way you would draw a star on paper). Glue the ends together and let dry (3-5 minutes).
This is where the fun starts. Use your imagination with yarn and fabric to decorate your star. I used about 30 cm to tie each end together. Then I cut out strings of fabric and yarn and glued them around the sticks. You could use feathers, beads, paper, washi tape. Have fun!
THose are adorable and a cluster of them is especially lovely.
ReplyDeleteLove this!! I am a fan of home-made Christmas decorations. We spend too much money during this time of year as it is. Plus, they are so much more unique, fun, and it's never a bad idea to bring nature into your home!
