Wednesday

I AM AN ELF / 1

For the month of December I will be sharing a Christmas DIY every week.
First up, the tree garland. This little DIY is very simple.

You will need : Brown paper | Yarn | White acrylic paint | Paint brush | Tape | Glue

Take your brown paper, fold it 4 times and cut out an isoscele triangle. You now have 8 triangles (you will probably have more than you need depending on the length of your garland). Paint a pattern of your choice on each of the triangles (I left some blank). Let them dry. In the meantime, cut a piece of yarn (about 5 feet). Once the paint is dry, glue the triangles on the yarn every 8 inches. Let it dry. Take two pieces of washi tape (or regular tape - you can paint the pieces with acrylic paint) and tape your garland to the wall. And voilĂ !

LACE CROP TOP DIY

I love DIYs... I love the thought of them but I rarely do any. Wait that's not totally true. I love to recycle things and give them new life but never find they are worth showing on here. Anyways, I thought I'd let you in on this one. It was a very easy DIY. It takes about five minutes and if you are as lazy as me, you can do it while lying on your comfy bed.

So I bought this shirt a couple years ago and loved it for while. After a long time of not wearing it I thought I'd give it a twist. What I did is put it on, measured the lenght I wanted it to be. Took it off, measured again and cut it. I did the same for the sleeves. I love crop tops with a knot so I cut the front part in a triangle and then cut the triangle down the middle, tied the pieces together and voilĂ ! (Here comes the laziness again... I didn't sew the sleeves. But you should.)

DELICATE CROWN

What you need :
Craft wire (8-10 pieces)

How it's done:
1. Mesure the size of your head.
2. Attach 2-3 pieces of wire to form a circle.
3. Take 4-5 pieces of wire and bend them to make triangles (as seen in picture 2 - about 2 triangles per wire).
4. Attach the triangles to your circle by twisting the wire.
5. You now have a crown.

Enjoy x

You can also make a little one for your cat :)
